Program Structure: Our training is designed to improve communities by identifying what knowledge they have and how to put it to better use. Our goal is to enhance knowledge, skills and resources to expand community partnerships. Our expertise is, the ability to the share information and experiences to reduce liability and risk.
Who should attend: Law Enforcement and Supervisors, School Resource Officers, Investigators, Patrol Officers, Detectives, Victim Advocates, Victim Service Providers, School Educators and Administrators.
Core Curriculum and Training
Women in Law Enforcement:Our training provides a safe forum for the exchange of information concerning areas of working in law enforcement. We address the issues and identify solutions for women in the work place. Our goal is for them to learn, express their thoughts and feelings regarding the unique areas of this profession.
Domestic Violence:We custom design trainings and seminars on a wide array of domestic violence topics, including the history, typologies of abuse, primary aggressor, stalking, strangulation, sexual violence and community response. The goal is to train individuals and communities on ways to better serve and respond victims of domestic abuse.
Teen Dating Violence:Our training defines and identifies issues of teen dating violence and develops prevention and response strategies. Teen dating violence can be defined as a pattern of behavior in any relationship that is used to gain or maintain power and control over an intimate partner. This training will develop social tools and help communities build a better rapport for both teen victims and offenders
Bullying and Cyber Bullying:Our training focuses attention on childhood bullying and harassment. This training will help identify the signs and symptoms of bullying and create solutions before another child gets hurt.
Community Policing:Promote organizational strategies, which support the use of partnerships and problem-solving techniques. Building Community Relations for Law Enforcement and continue to build in the areas of customer service. Our training will develop the social piece of law enforcement to create a higher level of empathy and understanding. We will address the common community issues of “I don’t know what else to do” and look at ways of developing solutions. The goal is to create awareness, reduce liability and increase public safety.
Police and Juvenile Safety:Develop an approach to help youths who have made poor choices and create a working partnership between parents, juvenile counselors, school representatives, the police, and the individual youth.
Kids these days:This course has been designed to take a unique look at the struggles our youth face today. We focus on tweens, teens and young adult behavior and challenges they face on a daily basis.
Cultural Competency/Diversity Awareness:Understand Cultural competencies and obtaining cultural information and applying that knowledge and skills. Our goal is to increase awareness and create a culture of change. We will exam one’s own cultural identity and how personal biases can affect relationships with others.
Women’s Self Defense and Victim Reduction 8 hour Certificate Course: Learn how to take away our vulnerabilities and make us less likely to be a victim of crime. This course is designed to Educate: Learn about our reaction time, vulnerabilities, targets, personal weapons and survival skills. Enhance: Knowledge of our surroundings, our physical strengths, capabilities and survival skills. Empower: To be independent, self-reliant and realize our own personal strengths. Turn fear into anger and develop a survivor mentality.
